Can You Still Get Breast Implants If You Have Metal Allergies?

So, the question is whether you can get saline or silicone breast implants with a metal allergy because there is a report of metal as a part of the implant. It is absolutely true that at least one of the implant companies uses what's called a palladium catalyst in the process of building these implants, making the rubber shell.

But, as the word implies, a catalyst is a chemical that helps the reaction but does not partake or become part of it. So, the rubber itself, at least theoretically, does not have any palladium residual in it.

From that point of view, there should be no problem with a metal allergy in breast implants. Now, that's a really, really rare and kind of a long shot. So, there's risk. It's not huge.
