After surgery, how long should I wait before flying?
So, after surgery generally we prefer that our patients avoid flying for about a week and it’s just simply for the fact that anytime we enter a space to perform surgery there’s usually a little residual air trapped in that area. Especially when we’re performing breast implants. So, we recommend you wait at least a week so that air can be reabsorbed by the body rather than getting in a higher altitude and that air expanding and causing pretty good pain. So, that’s our recommendation is to wait a week.
